Dancing with the Torah | Simchat Torah 2026

All year the Torah sits in the ark, and we come to it. On Simchat Torah, it comes to us.

On Simchat Torah, we finish the last words of the Torah, start it again from the beginning, and then we do the only thing that makes sense: we take the scrolls out, put our arms around them, and dance.
Seven hakafos, seven times around, everyone in one big circle.
