 Sukkot Holiday

Note: All prayer services will be held at the Blue Moon Hotel, 100 Orchard St.

Shmini Atzeret & Simchat Torah 
Don't miss these exciting days and evenings of dancing and singing in celebration of the completion and beginning of the yearly Torah cycle. Men, women and children are invited to join us for the holiday festivities, which will be held at the Blue Moon Hotel (100 Orchard Street).

  Wednesday, October 19 
  • Remember to prepare an Eruv Tavshilin.
  • 6:00 p.m. - Afternoon and evening services, followed by hakafot (Lively dancing with the Torah)

 Thursday, October 20

  • 10:00 a.m. - Shacharit morning services, including special prayer for rain
  • 11:30 a.m. - Yizkor Memorial Services
  •   6:00 p.m. - Afternoon and evening services
  •   6:45 p.m. until late into the night - Deluxe Kiddush with l'chayims followed by hakafot (Lively dancing with the Torah). All men, women and children are invited to join us.  

Friday, October 21

  • 10:00 a.m. - Shacharit morning services, including the Priestly Blessing
  • 11:00 a.m. - Kiddush followed by Hakafot (lively dancing with the Torah). Join us as we finish the annual cycle of reading the Torah and start anew. This is a special opportunity for everyone to have a chance to get called up to the Torah.
  • 5:49 p.m. - Candlelighting  
  • 6:00 p.m. - Afternoon and evening services 
Shabbat, October 22 
This is a special Shabbat, called Shabbat Bereishit, because we begin reading the Torah with the first portion. It is said that how we conduct ourselves this Shabbat is how the entire year will go. So let's make it a good one! Also, this Shabbat we say the special new moon blessing.
  • 10:00 a.m. - Shacharit morning services
